Mark Saunders Homes Introduces Craftsman Style Architecture to Seawatch

Mark Saunders Luxury Homes, builder of the 2009 Coastal Living magazine Idea House, recently introduced a new Craftsman Style home in the Seawatch at Sunset Harbor community for the Sanders family.

A dramatic entrance and gracious front porch welcome you to this distinctive Seawatch Craftsman style home. A Look Back and a Peek Ahead

In the message below, Director of Real Estate Sales Eric Johnson offers a look back at the Rivers Edge community and a peek ahead.

“A new year is well underway, and I thought you might be interested in a few 2010 highlights, as well as a projection or two for 2011.

Eight homesites were sold in 2010 for an average sales price of $103,785.00. We also had three Gallery Townhomes sell or go under contract for an average sales price of $211,333.00. Additionally, there was a large home along the Shallotte River and 16th Green that sold for over $700,000.00.

As for new construction, we were pleased to see the completion of four new homes in 2010, with three more currently under construction. With construction prices as low as they have been in years and interest rates at all time lows, it makes sense that many of our residents are taking advantage of the current opportunity to build their dream home – getting more for their construction dollar than they ever thought possible.

All indications are pointing to an increase in sales over 2010 numbers for this year. While it’s difficult to forecast an increase in values for our community, we do predict more sold properties this year and we are certain that we’ll see more people taking advantage of the tremendous opportunity to build.”

Seawatch Showcases a Home by Mark Saunders

The Herndon residence is a charming home epitomizing the Seawatch Eastlake style by incorporating eye-catching features:  unique porch brackets, railing details, distinctive shutters, custom pergola, exposed rafter tails, and gable embellishments. The well lit foyer welcomes, and then invites you to enter an open great room which features a corner fireplace, a beautifully appointed kitchen and roomy dining area. The great room flows through double doors to a screened porch then to a grilling deck, bringing the outside in to the home. In addition to the spacious master suite with a spa like master bath, there are two guest rooms, one of which doubles as a study. This home is well appointed with tasteful details; the fireplace mantle, crown moldings, two-panel interior doors and bead board wainscoting reflect the Eastlake era.

“When I toured the Low Country Home, I immediately knew that I wanted Mark Saunders Luxury Homes to build my new home.  Their attention to detail and master craftsmanship was second to none.” Jenny Herndon

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

The weather was great for Wilmington’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade on Saturday.  The sound of bagpipes filled the air, and a variety of classic automobiles were among the participants that made their way along downtown’s Water Street.  The first official day of spring is just a few days away, but it’s already here in southeastern North Carolina.
